On Tuesday, our school will come together for a celebration of Thanksgiving - one of the most important and joyful traditions we have during the year. This is a school-only event - it's a great time of building togetherness for the staff and students! The students at Top of the Hill board the bus in the mid-morning and head to Harborside. The celebration includes our traditional all-school sharing of snack (each class will be making something for the other classes) and Thanksgiving Celebrations with singing and dancing. Mrs. Casalini’s early childhood class will be back up to Top of the Hill in time for 12 noon dismissal.
Preschoolers dismiss as usual, both campuses
Kindergardeners dismiss as usual, both campuses
Mrs. Giordano's elementary class will dismiss from HARBORSIDE
Tuesday afternoon for Elementary: After lunch we will do our traditional foray into the woods across the road from Camp Alvernia. It is somewhat over a mile that we hike - not terribly long, but it includes some fairly steep up and down hills. We end the day roasting marshmallows at the fire ring by the totem pole at Camp Alvernia. It is important the kids dress appropriately for this activity - in particular wearing sneakers or sturdy walking shoes. It will be chilly, but the activity of hiking generally keeps everyone warm. The bonfire certainly does!
Reminder, there are no Ancillary Classes this week. Please notify the Main Office if Extended Hours care is needed.
